Important Information

Learning Paths

The hours for Yoga Nidra I & II together count as contact towards Amrit Yoga Institute’s 300 hour Yoga Alliance training when taken in person, and for Amrit Yoga Institute’s 800 hour IAYT-accredited I AM Yoga Therapy training whether taken in person or online. Yoga Alliance has made a temporary online provision which acknowledges training portions (i.e. Yoga Nidra Immersion) completed online by December 31, 2020. This may be extended pending application approval.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I guide Yoga Nidra after completing Yoga Nidra II: Certification?

Yes, you will be qualified and will receive certification to guide others in Yoga Nidra sessions. Your certificate will include hours from both Yoga Nidra I and II.

Does this course qualify me to certify others to teach Yoga Nidra?

No, it does not.

Can I participate in this course even if I don’t want to teach?

Yes. This course gives you an in-depth look into the scientific and psychological applications of yoga nidra and is appropriate for everyone. Many participate even though they don’t intend to teach.

If I have previous experience with Yoga Nidra, can I place out of this course to take the Advanced Course only?

No. This certification is foundational and crucial for your success in all other courses that follow.

What courses am I qualified to take after completing Yoga Nidra II?

After completion of Yoga Nidra I and II, you are qualified to take Yoga Nidra III: Advanced. You are also qualified to take the specialty courses: which include Kids and training to lead a Yoga Nidra workshops.

Why does the length of my course differ from others?

Depending on location, content may be delivered in various formats including one 10 day segment, 2 4-day segments, or over weekends. It can also be offered in an intensive format. However all curriculum and content is the same.

Where do I get my manual and program materials?

Program materials, including Yoga Nidra Manual, Yoga Nidra Cards and other class resources are provided digitally through an online platform once you register. You will have the option to have these materials printed to order or on your own.

How do I get my CE hours with Yoga Alliance?

In order to qualify, you need to be a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. You can input these hours and certificate from this course directly through your login portal on their website.

How do I get credit for APD hours with IAYT?

You need to be a C-IAYT to qualify. Once the course is completed, email us with your IAYT 8-digit Membership ID#, your name as you wish it to appear, and we will send you course confirmation for IAYT records.
